| The 4-H shooting
youth of Colorado NEED YOU! The Colorado 4-H Shooting Sports program has been active for over 25 years. Nearly 4000 youth in more than 50 Colorado counties participate in a variety of 4-H Shooting Sports activities every year! This makes the Colorado 4-H Shooting Sports Program one of the largest youth shooting organizations in the state. Our members can learn safety and shooting techniques for shotgun, rifle, air rifle/pistol, muzzle loading and archery. Our 4-H members learn how to handle firearms responsibly for target practice and hunting and learn respect for the natural environment. But that is not all! Involvement with 4-H and 4-H Shooting Sports builds positive, engaged and civically responsible young people. What makes us different from any other youth shooting club or organization is that we emphasize youth development not just marksmanship skills. Our certified and trained volunteer leaders work diligently to teach ethics, citizenship, team work, public speaking, problem solving and many other life skills to our 4-H shooters in addition to safety and marksmanship.
